As we come to the Lord's table, we remember the words of Jesus, "This is my body, broken for you; this is my blood, poured out for you." These elements symbolize the greatest act of love ever known, Christ's sacrifice on the cross. In His brokenness, we find wholeness. In His death, we find life.
The bread and the cup remind us that we have been brought into a new covenant with God, not through our efforts but through the blood of Christ.
