In Remembrance of Me

Updated: Oct 7

As we come to the Lord's table, we remember the words of Jesus, "This is my body, broken for you; this is my blood, poured out for you." These elements symbolize the greatest act of love ever known, Christ's sacrifice on the cross. In His brokenness, we find wholeness. In His death, we find life.

The bread and the cup remind us that we have been brought into a new covenant with God, not through our efforts but through the blood of Christ. As we partake, we are not just remembering a past event but proclaiming the reality of what Christ has accomplished for us. His death and resurrection have set us free from sin and made us a new creation.

So, as we take the bread and the cup today, let's reflect on the price that was paid, the love that was poured out, and the hope we have because of Jesus. Let us examine our hearts and remember that we come to this table not because we are worthy but because He is. Let us approach with gratitude, humility, and reverence for the One who gave it all for us.

"Do this in remembrance of Me."
