Hebrews 7:23–25 (NIV)
“Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.”
Reflection:
Drawing near, approaching, or coming to God is a prominent thought in the letter of Hebrews. It expresses our relationship with God. An unspeakable gift Christians have through the Savior, Jesus Christ. Priests in the Old Testament were limited by death. Jesus lives forever and is not limited. He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him. Jesus can deliver Christians from every trial and difficulty because He always lives to intercede for them.
