The Lord renews the strength of those who wait on Him.
Isaiah 40:28–31 (NIV)
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Life is challenging and, at times, overwhelming. It can make us feel worn out, weak, and defeated. But remember, we are not alone in this struggle. The Lord, who does not grow tired or weary, is with us. Recognize His strength. When we are feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, pause. Take a moment to pray and share your burdens with Him. He is always there, ready to listen.
Maintain your confidence in the Lord. As Isaiah records, "...those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength." The later half of Isaiah (40-48) brings a message of hope to those who keep their trust in the Lord. Times of refreshing will come. Those who trust the Lord will soar like eagles and run without growing tired. They will walk and not grow faint.
When we are overwhelmed, we can have confidence in the Lord. Prioritize time with the Lord, spend time in His word, and seek Him in prayer; He is the strength we need today.
