Today I’m going to tell you about something that happened a long time ago in the Bible. Let’s see what’s in our Bible Story Box today.

Listen to the story while you hold Mary (or the angel).
One day God sent the angel Gabriel to a young girl who lived in Nazareth. Her name was Mary. The angel said, “Greetings! The Lord has blessed you and is with you.”
Mary was very confused. She wondered what he meant.
The angel told Mary not to be afraid because God was happy with her. He told her she was going to have a baby and she should name him… Jesus.
Mary wondered how that would happen. She asked the angel, "How can this be? I am not yet married." The angel told her that Holy Spirit would come upon her and that the baby would be called the Son of God.
Mary told the angel that she was God’s servant and she wanted whatever God wanted for her life.
